Rafael De Cárdenas is Artistic Director of Object & Thing

Rafael de Cárdenas joins Object & Thing founder Abby Bangser as the artistic director of the fair’s debut edition. Object & Thing, a reimagined art and design fair, brought together 200 object-based contemporary and 20th-century works from 32 of the world’s leading art and design galleries in a single, unified environment.

In addition to the main exhibition, The Shop featured contributions from boutiques from around the world – accessible objects and housewares were available to buy and take home on the spot. Curator and writer Glenn Adamson joined Rafael, Felix Burrichter and Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn for a panel entitled Play and Display.
