ArtForum and Helmut Lang Collaborate on a Limited Edition Capsule Collection

Helmut Lang and Artforum partnered together for the first time to celebrate Pride 2019 with a limited-edition product capsule benefiting NYC’s LGBT Community Center. Helmut Lang and Artforum have a long relationship that dates back more than 20 years when Helmut Lang became one of the first fashion brands to advertise in the magazine.

Artforum’s spines are iconic talismans for the magazine that reset every year in monochromatic color schemes. For the 2018-19 cycle – concluding with the 2019 summer issue – Artforum adopted a variation of Daniel Quasar’s 2018 progress pride flag. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and kick off of pride month globally, the publications past ten issues for an inclusive pride flag.

To capture the spirit of pride and the collection, Helmut Lang worked with photographer and model Jacob Bixenman to capture a cast of his friends and family in the capsule shot around New York City and Los Angeles – including, Devan Diaz, Noah Carlos, Desi Santiago and Jeremy O’Harris.
