Kenzo Introduces ‘Yo! My Saint,’ An Original Song by Karen O and Film by Ana Lily Amirpour
Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, co-creative directors of KENZO are happy to announce that they have invited two trailblazing female talents to collaborate with the French fashion house for Spring/Summer 2018.
In another first for the KENZO, music artist Karen O has created an original song for Kenzo entitled YO! MY SAINT. The song was released globally across more than 50 streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, TIDAL, Pandora and Google Play Music.
YO! MY SAINT features accompanying vocals by Michael Kiwanuka. Karen O is an Academy Award nominee her original song for the movie Her and is best known as the front woman of the Grammy nominated group Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Writer/director Ana Lily Amirpour directed the companion film for YO! MY SAINT featuring a cast of all Asian descent including Jessica Henwick, Alex Zhang Hungtai and Kiko Mizuhara. The main thematic of KENZO’s Spring Summer collections focused on two historic muses for the house, Sayoko Yamaguchi and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
