Snow Xue Gao Fall/Winter 2019 Show

For Fall/Winter 2019, Snow Xue Gao is inspired by her cultural upbringing in China and recent time living in New York. Reminded of Chinese artist Sun Wen’s dialogue around cultures blending through the painting “The Dream of the Red Chamber,” Snow chose to continue to merge her encounters with different societies through fashion.

Tailoring, which has become a staple for the brand, is elevated through drop shoulder jackets and power suiting fashioned in an eighties sensibility. To accent the masculinity of the tailoring, Snow chose delicate silks and ribbed knits in primary colors and oriental prints for sweaters and blouses. Trousers with inside out silk trimmings compliment fabrics seen throughout and bring a modernized look to classic silhouettes.
